Shorty Wetsuit for $30

I don’t know the quality/etc, but my sister was at Sam’s Club the other day and clled me and said they had wetsuits for $30. They go to the knee and to the elbow. Grey/blk and Grey/Blk/Red. I searched on the net and found out that they are – “Gotcha Gear” 2M Titanium shorties --.

Again, I don’t know what the quality is, but I’m not gonna turn down a free wetsuit. My sis is making a contribution to Team Fireproof. She rokks (Rokks … as we used to say in the 80s)

I have one right here (some guys in my office bought them). I’m not an expert by any stretch but only the chest and back are made of coated neoprene (rubbery feel). The rest is the fabric covered neoprene. My guess is that they will soak up some water and aren’t nearly as buoyant as more expensive suits.

Could be … as my sis said, “You can try it out and if it sucks, it was only $30.”

I wouldn’t be expecting a $300 quality wetsuit for $30, but if it’s “usable” for a novice triathlete, then that’s a couple hundred bucks I can spend elsewhere.

When time permits, I’ll try to find an online review or a review at another message board and repost it here, if anyone is interested.

I agree. I didn’t mean to be too harsh. We have a group of guys training for a sprint this summer as sort of an office competition so it’s perfect for them (fairly cold swim). The workmenship is actually pretty good and you can’t beat the price.
