Shorts recommendations

Hello,

I tried a pair of Descente Men’s Aero-XT and felt the pad was too thin (my “boys” were very exposed).

So what I am looking for is a short with a bit more pad then the Descente but a tad less then regular cycling shorts.

Since there isnt a Tri shop or a store in my area I have buy online. Otherwise I would go and find a pair that suited me at a store.

What do you all recommended?

Thanks!

Gall

Really too individual to tell. Some need the padding of a DeSoto 400 mile short and others just a thin tri short lining. Also depends on race distance for sure.

The Sugoi tri shorts are pretty “in between” as well a couple of the newer Oomph models (I’ve never tried them). You will like find the Zoots too thin and the Pearls too bulky IMO. Definitely order from a place with a return policy if you have no local shop in your area.

Oomph!

The “more expensive” shorts in their line carry a lil more padding. 1st Tri short I can wear for 112 miles COMFORTABLY. But, DO NOT wash in the washing machine.

You won’t be disappointed…unless you like flashy colors.

Last year I bought a pair of the Pearl Izumi Kawaihae tri shorts. They had about double the padding of the DeSoto Tri shorts (which I now prefer).
