Anyone know where I could find a training log of some of the short course guys? Either that or maybe a sample week? I am tring to refine my last month and a half. Also is there any short course coaches? There are a ton of IM coaches that have good info on thier sites. A lot of that stuff is applicable, but I assume there is some good stuff specifically for short course. Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry, this board only discusses IMs, Cervelos, TdF, Swedish Doodes, and Skidmarks. We’ve no interest in petty short course triathlon.

.
I have some training and race reports from a few short course athletes on my site. Look under athletes, then Natasha, Colin, Julien or Jonathan for the reports. Nothing too specific in those usually, but maybe some useful insights. Feel free to email me with any specific questions.

More of a good age grouper type but I’ve got most of my log going back to late 99 posted here. Have alternated between short and long course focuses.
Sure, I can give you short-course training schedules, one week there with guarenteed ITU points at the end
Now how’s your portuguese? ![]()
BTW, I’m a short-course coach whose best athlete is an IM… life sucks… LOL…
Don’t listen to him! Here’s SAC’s ‘sample training week’:
"Monday - Swimming (that’s the thing where you get wet, right)
Tuesday - Pedal around for 23 minutes then eat a chocolate bar
Wednsday - Ehhhhhh…
Thursday - Swim 8k easy warmup, 2k drills, then 5k main set (5x1000), 5k cooldown.
Friday - Off
Saturday - Run 4.5 hours with no water stops
Sunday - 400k bike + 60k brick run. The run should be all above LT."
I’m not the one doing army drills… ![]()
I can lift a small truck because of those drills ![]()
.
That stuff works, that’s why you guys are so strong in international competition… NOT! ![]()
Dan came in 7th at the LA Tri, and 9th at the Boston Tri. That’s pretty good in my book…
Our top junior guy (who didn’t race in the Euro + Worlds) just did his first OD last weekend. 2:03 with the winner doing 2:02. The run was 10.8k and the sea was baddddddddd.
Finally, can you lift a small truck, Paulo? Didn’t think so… =P
Oh yeah? Or top junior is European Champion and was 8th in the Olympics! :-p
