TALLAHASSEE — Three students were shot early Thursday at a Florida State University library before campus police killed the gunman, Tallahassee police said.
Officers confronted the gunman, whose name has not been released, and ordered him to drop his weapon. But he fired at them and they unleashed a volley of shots, Tallahassee Police spokesman Dave Northway said.

Last I checked, none of the major news media outlets are reporting this. Three college kids got shot and it hasn’t made any headlines. But, I think it is serious and brought the matter to the LR, long before it went mainstream. Yeah, I did that to trivialize the incident.

Another shooting in America, perhaps it’s time for American tv news to have a shooting forecast to follow another depressing fact of American life that gets its own daily news segment such as traffic.
A American TV news shooting forcast can sound somthing this: “traffic is fucked along the eye sixty today just like any other day, now on to shootings. In todays shooting forecast: " Our open carry radar has spotted a large pack of armed gun blasting 2nd amendment loving individuals near Wally world, therfore there is a 70%chance of someone getting thier head blown clean off. in NRA’sville. Now on to sports.”
Furthermore, is it time for Florida state university and other schools to start selling guns and bullits right next to the books and pencils??? Should gun stores open up in Universities? Should some agency just go ahead and arm the shit out of our American students, so the next time some one opens fire in a school library, a huge gun battle between students and an assalent erupts where bullits fly everywhere???
I can just hear the NRA say " I call on our educational leaders to arm the shit out of our teachers and students today. I also demand that all clothing that’s sold in college book stores should be able to carry a fire arm and ammunition."

So did I. It is pretty sad, but, that is the first thing that popped into my head as well. The sad thing is, had this been another ridiculous, asinine stunt by Winston (as opposed to a serious incident like a shooting), it probably would have gotten more and faster coverage.

The university has recently drawn criticism after reports that athletes on its football team, a contender for this year’s national collegiate championship, had received preferential treatment from the police in criminal matters.”

How is it relevant? What does the football team have to do with a shooting in the library? Not to mention the “preferential treatment” argument is entirely speculative to start with. There was no point whatsoever in tacking that comment onto the end except to stir the pot.
