Shoes after runs?

I just got back from a 12-mile run and my dogs are barking. I was wondering what kinds of slips you guys like for the rest of the afternoon? Right now I have on Thorlos and sandals. I have some slippers that are very cushy as well … Watching ACC hoop the rest of the day I think.

Wear a pair of Burkenstock sandles. Will help prevent injuries.

Tibbs, I used to have a pair of those Addidas flops. Good in socks too. I wore them all of the time. You know what they used to say about Addidas right? Might be time to revist that …

Go barefoot so your feet can get stronger from working naturally. I like to wear acorn fleece socks around myself . . .

If you absolutely have to walk around I agree with Birkenstocks. I recommend laying down and taking a nap, much better.

i second the chaco’s mention. also i like simple reef flip flops. i have a pair of birkenstocks and while they look pretty cool, i dont find them that comfortable. they dont really have much cushion (yes, i know, you’re supposed to break them in and soften them up… i already did that, they’re over a year old w/ a fair amount of wear). another idea is to get a pair of crocs. yeah, i know they look like old lady gardening sandals, but WOW. i used to give my friend who had a pair some major shit for wearing them, and then he made me try them on. they were the most comfortable things in the world. needless to say, that’s what i’m asking for for my b-day in march. they have every color of the spectrum to suit your flavor. check em out (and no, i have absolutely no affiliation with them. i dont even own a pair… yet)

I usually go for my birk clogs post long run. Idealy you would want as low a heeled shoe or sandal as possible so that walking keeps your achilles tendons from tightening up. Seeing what my girlfriends fancy pumps have done to her ability to run or walk long distances is frightening.
