I hate this. This weekend George Bush is coming to Brussels. I don’t like his policy. Please keep him.
Poll : Who’s next ? Syria ? Iran ? North Korea ?

Tribedebie,
Your off topic political comment belongs in Tibbs Lavender Room. Please have enough respect and consideration for the rest of us here on the Triathlon Forum to remove/delete it from the Triathlon Forum and repost it in the Lavender Room.
Thank you.
All posts of a political or religious nature belong over on the Lavender Room forum. Dan set up that forum for that reason.
Brussels is a very nice city. I like it very much. My daughter spent an entire year there when she was 15 as an exchange student living with a host family.
It’s too bad GWB couldn’t be visiting the city as a regular tourist.
I agree with Ben.
Thats his problem Brian…good Presidents do lose sleep over the decisions they make and how those decisions effect the world we live in.
Dubya is on a mission from God and sleeps just fine.
OK sir,
I will make it OT. This weekend I can not train because of his visit. Brussels is a sealed fortress. Swimming pool unreachable, roads blocked so no biketraining. Only running tomorrow. He does not deserves that.
OK so ?
On behalf of the people of The United States (as self appointed Slowtwitch spokesperson), I apologize for any inconvenience created by The President’s visit to Brussels.
As Belgium is an important and contributing member to the world community, it is important to visit Brussels and acknowledge their significant, ongoing contribution as an active member in the global community. Belgium has consistentaly demonstrated their dedication to the principles of freedom, liberty and global prosperity. It is indeed a beautiful country with a rich history and a steadfast tradition of defending the gates of freedom against tyranny and contributing actively to a strong EEC and global community.
Many thanks for your patience in receiving our President, and the many on going contributions of Belgium to the Global community.
Whew…that was a close one…!!!
Thanks to the exquisite work of Agent Demerly, we once again narrowly avert a cataclysmic international crisis.
Return to DEFCON 4.

Belgium would be next, if anything in it was worth the measly cost of the transporting the 12 Marines we’d need to occupy it. Lucky for you it ain’t.

A picture tells a thousand words…
LOL…
I’m no Marine, but if we decide to “secure” their breweries, I’'ll enlist!!
We should keep all our money next time there is a world need as well. Tell you what, tell your Govt to not take US money every chance they get and we will keep our leaders.
Hey man, no problem.
Why do you guys have to be so harsh?
One time, Jean Claude VanDamn was at a ribbon cutting ceremony at my local strip mall and it took me an extra 30 seconds to get into The Gap. So I know what’s it’s like to suffer a visit from another country’s biggest and most visible citizen.
please keep him!
Congrats, i’ve now thought about Brussells for 30 seconds…25 seconds longer than ever before in my life…
The thing that amuses me most about this thread is how quick people were to jump on the poster as being in breach of protocol and not posting this on the dark side…and then promptly got 17 replies!
HHHMMMM…

On behalf of the People of the United States (as self appointed Slowtwitch spokesperson) and fans of martial arts movies everywhere, I wish to extend the sincerest apology for your inconvenience during Mr. Van Damm’s visit.
While engaging in commerce is critical to the national agenda, it is important to acknowledge the significant cultural and artistic contributions of the great film actor and athlete, Jean Claude Van Damm. Mr. Van Damm has made enormous contributions to validating the martial arts and capturing the thrill and excitement of their practice in fictional depictions.
Many thanks for your kind accomodation of Mr. Van Damm’s visit, and our continued best wishes during your shopping endeavors.
Plus isn’t Eddy Merx from Belgium? Gotta give them kudos for that. Maybe the original poster should invite Dubya on a mountain bike ride. I hear he is into that on the ranch back in Crawford. Just remember…nearly half of didn’t vote for him so please don’t blame us.
“Just remember…nearly half of didn’t vote for him so please don’t blame us.”
Ditto.
Hm, what will I reply…
By saying US entered WW 2 after it got hit at Pearl Harbour ? No, that’s rude.
By referring to the democratic, civilized jurisdiction at Guantanamo ? No, that’s rude.
By expressing my hope that you will never have to say ‘Wir haben es nicht gewusst?’. No, that’s rude.
By apollogizing ? No that’s stupid.
Case closed before I start disliking you people and thinking you all agree with the great leader.
Thanks and have a nice weekend !
