Just bought a set of used wheels and the shipping charges to Montreal are horrendus (on top of potential border charges). Since I go to Lake Placid relatively regularly, does anybody know if there is a store where I can get items shipped ?
Or alternatively, any slowtwitchers living there willing to receive a package that I could pick up later ?

There is also a UPS store in the shopping plaza where Price Chopper is, I don’t know the address but it could be another option.
If you are shipping via Fed-Ex or UPS, you can have packages held for you to pick-up at Shipping Centers (not the smaller outlets or affiliates)…
If it’s being shipped USPS, I believe you can have it delivered to your name c/o General Delivery at the Lake Placid post office. I have the same issue with stuff being shipped to Toronto, and had stuff shipped to me on Cape Cod when I was visiting. They held the items for a few days, as well.
