I believe the bike is Stock with BB86, Will a shimano crank fit in this?

It depends on what bearing are installed. It may have the bearings for a Shimano i.e. 24mm crank or it could have bearings for a GXP crank like the Sram uses which is slightly different.

shimano makes a bb86.5 bottom bracket adapter (sm-bb72-41 I think) that you’ll need as opposed to the pressed in cups.
You’ll need that, but otherwise yes works fine.
as others mentioned, with the right BB86 BB kit you’ll be able to run a Shimano crank in that bike. the Trek PNs I have for that are 518555 (Shimano part ISMBB7141B ) and 527081 (Shimano part BBRS500PB).
It used BB86 and not BB90?
SC 7’s use BB86 while SC 9’s use BB90. They both end up fitting the same cranks as long as the same bearing kits are used.
for some reason (Carl?) the 7 series used 86 and the 9 series used 90.To make things interesting years later when people want to know what size their bb is I assume
.
actually, it’s about price points. press-fit systems are considerably cheaper & easier to provide for in frame manufacturing than as-molded bearing cups.
ETA: to clarify it’s about the frame mfg
