Shimano chainrings on Campy drivetrain

Does anyone know if you can use shimano cranks with a Campy drivetrain?

No.

All hell’s breaking loose today. Some guy had a Zipp Front Tubular wheel and a Hed Rear Clincher, another wears Newton socks with ASICS shoes, and now this guy wants to mix Shimano and Campagnolo, what’s next?

Can I put a Quark on my SRM so I can check how well my Powertap reads?

Man, all these harsh responses. Yeah, you can do that. You might get some funny looks, but there’s no reason you can’t have Shimano front chainrings or cranks with all Campy other stuff.

Its not as crazy as it sounds. Campy chainrings work fine with my shimano drivetrain. And you can use an ANT+ compatible SRM or powertap computer with your Quark!!

If I could have remembered that quote exactly, I would have added it to my post. Excellent!

you can use any crank with a campy drivetrain. you can use any crank with a shimano drive train.

Campy/Shimano/FSA/Stronglight/KCNC/SRAM/THM/Tune/Zipp

You need to use the correct BB for the selected crankset

the only things Shimano on my road bike are the BB and the SRM crankset+rings. The rest of the drivetrain is Campy. Works perfectly.

Correct, the bolt holes are different, you couldn’t attach the shimano rings to the campy cranks.

I got some duct tape.
