I often read peoples write ups of there training programs or ideas for over all approach to the sport. I often see people who are succesful always saying make each session have a goal.
Apart from HR or Time, what other examples of session goals do you use?

adding that by “having a goal” I don’t know if it has to be a HR or Time or Distance goal - that specific - I think it is more like “Every session has a purpose” like a long run to build endurance, vo2 max intervals to build aerobic capacity, power intervals on the bike, etc
