SERGIO finished 7th place at Ironman Austria, with what looks like the second fastest run of the day, 2:47:39. Great job Sergio!!!
Where have you been? We were talking about it in real time as it happened. ![]()
I know, but I bet a few people won’t know until tomorrow morning when they are at the office “working”, the title will be easy to spot then. Cheers.
oh thanks,
not a very good day for me, overall a pretty flat day actually, but im happy to be abble to write RR again ![]()
.
Congrats, Sergio. I read the other thread as well and know you wanted the slot - sorry you didn’t get it - but top 10 in a European IM is still fantastic. And 8:36 with the 2nd fastest run split of the day is just amazing. And thank goodness you do have a RR!! I will look forward to reading it on your blog.
I know you are disappointed, but you now have a 3rd, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 7th in IM races (am I missing any?), plus two top 20 finishes in Kona. I think that is pretty darned awesome!

i proud of seeing you making it to the finish line… it s a very weird last 3 months… you still have to teach a few of us how to run 2:47 on a off day!
Paulo is the one to ask for teaching you how to run a 2.47 on an off-day. Sergio just does it (and does it well) :-).
Did you change your pre-race nutrition routine Sergio? From your blog: several “drinking a capuccino” in the days before the race. No caffeine taper? Does Paulo know about this? ![]()
So when is the next race?
