Serfas Tri saddle - anyone ride one? Opinions?

It’s on the list of saddles to try, but I can’t seem to find out much about it. Any opinions, reviews?

I switched out the stock QR for a Serfas. So far so good but I haven’t gone more than 3 hours / 50 miles. Its very long … I think there are better saddles out there, both more racey OR more comfy. My buddy just bought the Performance Tri saddle for $40 and likes it better than his FiziK!

I’ve got one that I’m testing, had it on the tri bike for 3 or 4 x 1hr rides one 2:30 ride and one 3:20 ride. I’ve tried the arione tri (this years model), the fizik aliante (came with my Guru), a Terry with cutout, and my old selle italia road saddle. I’m about to return the Serfas because of numbness on the longer ride. I really like it on 1hr rides, okay on 2:30 ride, but really bothered me on the 3:20 ride. I had to sit-up several times during the ride, once for ~10 minutes. I usually stay aero for 99% of my long rides, so it was noticable sit-up time for me using the Sefas. FYI, I ride more-or-less in the middle to front of the saddle, have a drop of ~12cm. I hated the Terry saddle, that one lasted only a single 1 hour ride. The aliante is now on my road bike, but it is a poor tri saddle (for me), the arione was also poor, way too little nose padding and nose is narrower than my selle italia. I’m going to try the Profile Design with cutout next. So far my trusy Selle Italia has been the best, with Serfas in second. If the Profile Design doesn’t make the cut, I might keep the Serfas as a good backup to the Selle Italia, it is lighter and firmer, which I like on the shorter races that I do, I just am not 100% convinced for everyday training. Luckily LBS is giving me several days to try out new saddles; I suggest you make this clear up front before you buy, if you haven’t already.

Cheers
