After losing to Justine Henin last night for the thrid straight time in a Grand Slam quarterfinal, Serena said that Henin just made a “lot of lucky shots” and that it’s not up to Serena’s opponents if they win or lose, it’s just up to her.
Nothing but class from the U.S.A.'s top female athlete.

Henin ran Serena’s fat ass all over the court with well-planned and well-executed shots. Only Serena’s immense talent saved her from an even greater beating.
She may have settled down after the post-match press conference. At that point, she was telling reporters she was only there to avoid the fine she would have to pay for skipping the press conference, and that when she’s at her best, no one can beat her, and she wasn’t at her best that night. Obviously just a matter of being pissed at losing and not conducting herself very graciously at that moment.
I also applaud her for the extremely clever name of her clothing line: Eneras.
Saw some of the interview on ESPN this morning, and it did seem as though she would say anything but “congratulations” to Henin…who I believe is on a 3-match winning streak against Serena?
Maybe that’ll shut up the critics!! Even if she is carrying a little extra weight, she’s a better tennis player than at least 99.5% of the men on this board.
