just because.
Agreed.
Senator . should resign
.
Agree. Besides the fact he is a weasle like the rest of them, from 2003-2008 McConnell also received a ton of cash from the following sectors:
Securities & Investment $1,093,374 Retired $917,855 Lawyers/Law Firms $903,058 Real Estate $725,255 Health Professionals $691,400
Hmmm, Securities and Investment at the top of the list again. I’m not surprised.
Securities & Investment $1,093,374 Retired $917,855 Lawyers/Law Firms $903,058 Real Estate $725,255 Health Professionals $691,400
Used to be the TLA and labor behind dems, big business and military industrial complex behind the pubs. Now all sides seem to realize they can afford to buy all our congressmen, the traditional constituencies are out, with maybe the exception of labor still fully behind the dems. We really are seeing change in DC! sigh
“Senator . should resign”
Nice use of the wild card, but how many senators have a dot in their names? ![]()

I hope you understand that “.” is a match for any single character, thus the expression above would exclude a Senator with a zero-length name (although the last or first asterisk is not needed).
![]()
Commonly, especially in Windows operating systems and many other software packages, the asterisk is the wild-card character, standing for zero or more characters, or in some contexts for one or more characters. The string . is frequently used, for example, to denote the concatenation of a filename, a dot, and an extension. Type the search words “wild card computers” into your search engine and you’ll find this explanation in many places.
I’m almost ready to agree, though, that they should ALL resign. ![]()
I guess he meant in the context of regular expressions.
