Self-supported ironman

Hey guys! I did a self-supported ironman yesterday around College Station, TX. I was able to document the whole thing while in progress with photos and audio and post it online. Check it out at http://zentri.blogspot.com

I also do a podcast about triathlon and will mix the audio into the next show in a couple of days. It’ll be in mp3 format and you can download it and listen to it on your iPod or computer. Enjoy!

congrats!

Impressive!! Congratulations!!

Hey, that’s pretty cool. Nice job!

Absolutely awesome. Very inspirational! You’re in the sport for the right reasons!

Too cool! Congratulations!!

.

You’re an Ironman and a Half.

very impressive!

I was kinda hoping you were going to do this in an endless pool, on rollers then a treadmill;)

You just made me feel like a reasonable person. Congratulations!

that’s hardcore dude. I Hope that when you do a sanctioned ironman it works out well too

Thanks for all the great comments, guys. I finally cobbled together all the audio so you can listen to it as I go along. You can listen to it here - http://triathlon.blankner.com/radio/ZAT_12-18-05.mp3 It’s almost an hour long, so you have to approach it like it’s an actual radio program. I do a bi-weekly show about triathlon, so there’s audio from other people in there as well. If you’re a tri-geek, you’ll most likely enjoy it.

I learned a lot about how to be a triathlete from reading Dan Empfield’s and others’ postings on this website. Slowtwitch.com has always been a great resource to help me get to the point where I can do half and full ironman distance events. Thanks!

really cool!!!
