Could not believe that a mainline gum (Extra or Orbit or something) has a current commercial where the stick of gum is chasing a female triathlete throughout the race: running into the water, running treadmill like on the spinning wheel during the bike and finally on the run only to get to the finish line to be covered by a discarded water cup.
We are going mainstream in a big way. Talk about trendy.
That commercial is terrific! The Scottish accent that the little stick of gum has is great… and getting stuck on the front fork and caught in the spokes like an old baseball card is perfect.
The thing that suprised me most is that it actually looked like a real triathlon (except for the animated stick of gum)… wetsuits, running into the water, a “real” tri bike with aerobars, etc.
