Looks like Hillary is the right person for the job. They love her in Japan and Indonesia.
We may yet get to do diplomacy and show leadership again!
BTW the staff at State also have high regard for her.
Way to go restoring America’s shattered image abroad!
Give me some more reasons other than people like her why you think she is right person for the job?
She went to another country and they where nice to her! my god what more do you need? She was treated nicely for fucks sakes. It’s unheard of in the history of this country.

Kissing muslim asses in Indonesia while North Korea is getting ready to test a missile that could hit the continental US
If she’s so fucking good…such a good ‘diplomat’…getting ready to “show leadership again” as you suggest, Maybe she can talk the North Koreans out of that missile test…oooops,… there are no muslim asses to kiss in North Korea. Nevermind…
Quick here’s your answer - because she is well known and respected all around the world.
Why don’t you give me an answer with a little more thought behind it than the above sentence.

Why don’t you just answer my question? I have asked you three times and either you are unable to answer the question.

She is educated, articulate, well versed on foreign policy experience, knows many of her foreign counterparts, has the skills to manage State, excellent ability to develop policy and execute on that policy, lots of common sense, has political positions which are not extreme, willing to work with other countries to further American interests, understands the issues, can effectively find Ambassadors from the foreign service, can futher develop the foreign service and tackle the issues of such a large beauracracy.
These are just some of the reasons why she is the right person for the job. You may not agree with some or all of these reasons, but I gave you many reasons why she is the right person for the job.
I think her current trip is proving to be quite succesful - no one has thrown a shoe at her.

If this is your criteria, it was a success! If you look at what she actually did, not so much. She went out of her way to not offend the Chinese with that human rights stuff, and repeatedly pleaded that they keep financing us. Not a good day for the U.S., but I expect there will be many of those coming up.
"Later, Clinton met Chinese women’s rights advocates at the US embassy but continued to steer clear of speaking on contentious human rights issues.
Instead, while taping an interview on a Chinese talk show, she focused on the need for China to help finance the massive 787-billion-dollar US economic stimulus plan by continuing to buy US Treasuries. "
"In Beijing, she called on authorities in Beijing to continue buying US Treasuries, saying it would help jumpstart the flagging US economy and stimulate imports of Chinese goods. "

Let’s take a closer look at these:
Educated: Yes
Articulate: Yes
Well versed in foreign policy experience: What foreign policy experience does she have?
Knows her foreign counterparts: Huh? From State dinners more than 8 years ago?
Has the skills to manage State: Based on what? She has never run a large organization before.
Excellent ability to develop policy and execute on that policy: Again, you base this on what, exactly?
Lots of common sense: I’m not sure how you can determine how much common sense someone has by any of the political crap we’ve had in this country in recent years.
Has political positions which are not extreme: Kind of depends on your viewpoints, right?
Willing to work with other countries to further American interests: Seems like it so far, but it’s really more important that the President is or isn’t willing to work with other countries, since she simply executes his foreign policy.
Understands the issues: How do you know this? And do you somehow think she understands the issues better than other candidates for the job?
Can effectively find Ambassadors from the foreign service: What does this mean?
Can futher develop the foreign service and tackle the issues of such a large beauracracy: Maybe. I don’t know why you are so sure about this given her complete lack of experience managing any kind of large organization.
Maybe Secretary Clinton will be a fantastic Secretary of State. It’s too early to tell, and most of what you have listed are feel good subjective assessments on your part tht don’t seem to really be based on anything concrete like experience or track record.
