Secret Place One:
Is this a chunk of the wilderness park trails in Claremont CA? The trail starts if you take Mills Ave. up past the start of Mt. Baldy Road (A climb the likes of Alpe du Huez perhaps).
I think the part in the photo is as you come down back towards the parking lot entrance about a quarter mile or so after this little water tower - the view is parts of Claremont, Montclair, Upland and maybe a little Ontario.
The trail was recently redone because of the fire about a year ago. The mile marker posts are a little goofy now because they replaced some of the burned down ones.
The wilderness park technically has two trails but basically it’s about a 4.25 mile loop. There are a few places where you can branch off but chances are you’ll wind up in some private property if you do.
Great trails though - great if you’re a runner who likes to smoke the mountain bikers on your way up hills.
