So i’m trying to ride steeper on my tri-bike, and as the seat comes forward, eventually the stem needs to be lengthened. The old road bike rule of thumb on stem length, etc. is when you’re on the hoods, and look down, your bar should block your vision of your front skewer. Is that still true on a steep tri-bike ?? It seems to be for me, when i’m on my horns, the skewer is blocked by base bar, and wheni’m out on the aeros. I can just see all the skewer arm. How does that compare to the way you’re set-up ???
Seat 5cm in front of bb
120mm stem
I can see the front brake while in the aero position. If I put my head down, I can nearly see the head badge and can look at the cars or bikers behind me.
