Quick question. Should there be a significant difference between the measure of centre of crankarm (bb) and seat height for one’s road bike and Tri/TT bike assuming the same pedal/shoe system? I think there would be a minor difference to account for the seattube angle, but nothing significant. If so, would the expected length be greater for the steeper or more slack position?
Slowman has an article about this, check his position or technical pages on the site.
Steep set-up approx 1/2 cm higher due differences in the way we sit on the tri-bike.
Thanks ajo. I will wander over and check that out.
Ditto Slowman’s article. My tri height is about half a cm higher. Ironically, came to that by experimentation before reading the article.
