What seat angle do you estimate?
the seat angle can’t be any more than a 76 or the bike would pretty well fall out of UCI rules for geometry and set up.
however, the EFFECTIVE seat angle is probably somewhere around 79-81 judging by where he is on the saddle. this first really caught my attention about 3 years ago at our road nats. i held eric wohlbergs(8 time itt champ up here) P3 while he got checked on it. his but was way back on the saddle, almost off, and everything was good. i watched him roll down the start ramp and as soon as he was seated he was riding right off the nose.
this is my problem with alot of UCI rules when it comes to technology and design. outdated, and truly not enforceable. look at lance in his tt position. on the nose. look at any strong tt rider…on the nose for sure.
so why the silly rule. ranks right up there with not allowing disc brakes on 'cross bikes.
