I know, this is boring compared to Birdman’s position and K. Grog going pro, but I need a little help. Tell Tom Demerly I hear a heat wave is in the 12 day forecast for IMMOO, so to start taking electrolytes today to insure a good race.
All kidding aside, does anyone have experience using Seal N’ Flate or any other similar on the fly tire repair/inflators? Had the chance to try it out this past weekend and had some trouble with getting it to attach to the valve extensions. I was able to get some of the air/white sealant into the tire, but more of it ended up in my hands and on the outside of the tire. Does it just not work well with valve extensions or am I just clueless?
I’m guessing it’s a no brainer with the disc as long as you have the kind with a tube because you can access the valve rather than use the “crack pipe”, so I think I have this one figured out. Are people carrying these just to save themselves from changing a tire on their disc, which is more of a pain and more likely to get the flat?
At least a couple of real answers are welcomed. Feel free to continue the Bird and K. Grog bashing.
