As the title suggest, has any data been released on the Plasma 3…?
The Plasma 2 was included in the recent Trek data:
http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/story/sc9/technology
The Plasma 2 also had the lowest drag in a european magazine wind tunnel testing against fairly “weak” competition(no Cervelo, Felt, Trek or Specialized), I think it was just a touch ahead of the Cannondale Slice. I’ll search for a link.
Edit:
Found the data here:

Probably worth noting that the Focus tested is NOT the current Walser designed version but the 2008 version:

Meine liebe Gott, was ist los mit Storck?
The German data suggests that those $10k frames have pretty crappy aerodynamics… why would anyone blow that much money on them?
BTW - I’d love to know where my P2 lies on that list… anyone know where I could find such data?
Not trying to defend Storck but it seems that the data posted is from the Storck Aero and not the Aero 2 which is 10 billiion $s
for the the frameset.

It’s an interesting point Alexn,
We so many times, that when manufacturers or others test bikes, they compare against old models, different stock etc…
I realise it’s hard, not every manufacturer is going to provide a pre-production bike to anyone who wants to do some testing on it.
That is why some sort of standard testing procedure OR at the very least for companies to release how they tested the bikes is important.
I’m sus on anyone’s data until the devil in the details is released.
Specialized and Cervelo seem to be leading in that regard, being quite open about exactly WHAT (all inclusive) and HOW they tested and not just what model frame.
Man, no kidding. I always loved a chart put out by Cervelo where they tested the P4 against a bunch of bikes including the 2008 Scoot Plasma and Orbea Ora. The Plasma 2 and Ordu where both out by then, but funny how they didn’t make the cut. Wind Tunnel data from the manufacturers is manufactured to make their bikes look best.
Wind Tunnel data from the manufacturers is manufactured to make their bikes look best.Do you really think so? We cannot take them to serious then?

It’s going to be within 10-20g of the P3 (if not identical to it)…so the Trek data might help with that.

I think you might have meant Trek instead of Cervelo. Although the data has been “leaked” from Cervelo (and a LOT of it) they really haven’t explained much about their protocol and setups…
If the Plasma 3 were to fit me right, I would be super excited to ride it, no matter which way a few grams of drag data might “lean.”

Here is the excerpt from Tour Magazines Triathlon Special from 2009:
Tageslicht treten. Der Sattelstützenkopf von Ritchey
auf dem Sitzdom bietet einen großen Verstellbereich
und ist relativ montagefreundlich. Für Zeitfahrspezialisten
dürfte der Rahmen vorne länger sein.”
With all respect to Tour Magazine’s thoughts on road bikes, I give a rat’s ass what they say about triathlon bikes.

I saw a Commerzbank Plasma 3 bike in Austria today. That is the best looking bike in production now; hands down.
