Scott Bikes. What gives?

The beautiful Scott road bike, I think it is the AFD pro, you see some of the riders using in the Giro, and later on in the Tour De France, apparently aren’t sold in the US, even though across the tubes, it says broadly on the bike, “SCOTT USA.”

To me, its the prettiest looking bike in the peloton. I emailed them last year asking why they didn’t sell their road bikes in the US, and they basically wrote back and said, “we just don’t.”

I can’t find any US dealers.

Does anybody understand why?

I read somewhere not too long ago that Scott USA was about to begin distribution here in the US - ah here is the article from Velonews: http://www.velonews.com/tech/report/articles/5980.0.html

Also, have you looked at there website lately? Although they do not yet market bikes in the US, they do have a dealer locator and maybe one of the larger dealers could order bikes: http://www.scottusa.com

Michael

They are supposed to start selling bikes in the US again this Summer:
