Science of Triathlon DVD by Joe Friel

Has anyone viewed this DVD which apparently has 9 hours of content? I was thinking about getting it for a friend who is a newbie in the sport as his birthday is coming up. Any reviews, comments out there?

I have it, and find it filled with useful information. It can get boring at times, but it’s very useful. It goes over alot of the stuff in Going Long, and its basically video from one of Friel’s camps. How’s the recovery coming?

I think it’d be a good gift for a newbie. Plenty of info that would be helpful for them.

Overall, I admire Joe Friel and I own this DVD, but Oh my god,. The information is presented dryly.

I can’t imagine someone having the time or stanima to sit through all of the presentations on those DVDs unless they were stuck on a cross country plane trip or something. I think there might be some good information, but I doze off in the comfort of my living room.

I seriously think for the price of the DVD (and it is pricey), we deserve some charisma and highly tuned presentation skills to make the information palatable.

And the DVD is setup so you can’t skip the sales pitch for the camps and seminars at the begining of each disc.
