This is mostly second hand, but my LBS owner rides one, and I’ve seen it quite a bit in the shop. He has a ton of bikes, some much more expensive/unique, but this is the one he raves about. Great paint, the pictures don’t do it justice, and he swears by the ride. Plus, the fork and seatpost that come with it are an excellent compliment to the frame. The company has been in business for a really, really, really long time, and every once and awhile one of their older bikes will pop up on ebay and get quite a bit of attention.
I’ve been doing some research online about the company because he just ordered quite a few of the frames at a decent discount from KHS - and has at least one in my size. There are some UK sites with reviews, as well as a thread on the Serotta site about them. It will be a tough sell to the missus for me, and will have to wait for the CX bike to arrive, but I’m seriously considering one in the near future.
If you or your friend are interested, I can check to see what sizes he has and what he’s looking to get for them.
