Scanners Mac/PC

I have a lovely Xerox documate 152 in the office for our Window operated network. I want to buy a second scanner as I am trying to make myself and the office completely paperless. But I use a Mac for my personnal stuff.

I am trying to avoid buying a second expensive scanner that ONLY works with my mac or with my pc. I would like one that works with both and is interchangeable.

The type that interests me is the Xerox documate 252-262 and that family and also the fujitsu S500 which also sells the mac version S500M. It appears that Xerox doesnt sell mac compatible scanners in that category.

I am going to use it mainly for scanning documents but possibly also a lot of pictures. I already have the neat receipt for my mac, but it’s too slow for a large amount of papers.

Sorrry for the rambling, I wanted to know if anyone knows of any way to get some driver to make one scanner compatible with both windows and mac

Why don’t you jest get something like an HP Photsmart All-in-One? Printer, Fax, Copier, Scanner. Costco for less then $200.00.

Because that’s not what I am looking for. i need a high end scanner that does duplex scanning at 40ppm

You can find what you want. The problem is when you add the price constraint…Lexmark X782e does the job but runs for roughly $4000.
