Saw the new Zipp 606 wheelset today

With the dimples - deeper dish and zipp logos laminated under the surface - these wheels were very impressive.

Looked from the finish in places to be hand made.

The price - WAY up there - but hey - whatever floats your boat

Maybe we’ll start seeing this wheelset at a few races now.

I’ll stick with my 404’s thanks

Saw a few front 808’s last weekend on different TT bikes

He is also wearing one of the new Rudy Project TT helmets.

Thats Peter Coulson, former member of the Australian National Team and silver medallist in the pursuit at the Masters National Championships

The Louis Garneau still looks a lot sharper.

Not the LG Rocket … too bulky, but the new LG Chrono looks very nice, much like the Bell Vortex

I saw a Z9 wheelset at Laguna Cyclery today. Wow - that is one sweet wheelset. I don’t really buy into the whole ceramic bearing thing, but man to feel these wheels spin in your hands really makes you wonder. I’ve never felt a smoother set of hubs (I know - not real scientific, but the feel is really cool). I guess they were ordered by a customer who changed his mind, so I’m pretty sure the shop will let them go for less than retail if anyone’s interested and has the deep pockets. If you live close enough, I think it’s worth going into the shop just to look at them but, then again, I’m a real geek when it comes to that stuff.

The 808’s look good on my Blade…

…and in my opinion, which I know accounts for nothing on this forum, the most versatile high performance wheelset you can buy for a bicycle. Road, TT, Tri, Crit, Hill Climb, bling bike, etc. This wheelset does it all.
