Saucony FT Endurance

Would you use these for an Ironman? Are they too light weight and is it better to use a Tangent / DS Trainer / Supernova competition.
I’m weigh about 145lbs and am pretty light on trainers. Not sure whether they are suitable IM shoe…
Thanks

Hmm - I use my FT Endurance for distances up to half IM, but use my Saucony Trigon for full IM. However, I did consider using them, I finally decided that for an IM I favoured comfort over speed. At 11stones (thats 154lbs to you) I’m a bit heavier than you though.

Whats the furthest you have run in them ?

Only 10k so far. Only just got them but was considering them for IM, just not sure what others thought. It’s unlikey that I’d use them past HIM distance pre IM race so others experience is useful.

I’m 185lbs. and wear the the FT Endurance for HIM and Half Marathon distance. I’m not sure I’d wear them over 26.2 miles though. My biggest problem with them is that when they get wet my feet start to move around in them and blister. This just starts to happen at HIM distance, there’s no way I’m going to find out what happens over IM distance.

The races I did in them this last season were all on hot days, so I was pouring a lot of water over my self at aid stations, hence the wet shoes.
