Saucony A2 concerns

Does anybody have problems with A2 in the heels at all? When I run my in my A2’s I notice rubbing on both of my heels. I can’t seem to avoid this slop and rub. I do wear very short socks. Does anybody have the same situation. I do see some people putting vaseline on their shoes to avoid the rubbing and possible blister/bleed. I am really no too keen on putting the vaseline directly on the shoe. Looks for ideas?

You can also just use some bodyglide. This can be one of the drawbacks with racing type flats (low heel stack) is heel cup or achilles notch of the shoe irritating the back of the heel (especially in you have a high arched foot or certainly deformities, like a Haglund’s deformity).

I get that too when I run sockless. I use Trislide and it takes care of it.

I run sock less for sprint and Olympic races and only get some minor rubbbing when I forget to lube my feet. I just got a pair of the 2009 A2 flats and they feel very comfortable. Here’s my solution -stick a handful of vasaline in the problem areas.
