Anyone out there own a Thelma rack from Saris?
What do you think of it (besides the fact that the name is stupid)?
I just bought one a couple weeks ago for my pathfinder. Not a lot of road testing yet, a couple short hauls and one long haul. Easy set up, really quick to mount the bikes, but no way to lock them down except with cables. another detractor (which obviously didn’t really concern me), is that you can’t swing the loaded rack out of the way to get into the back of the car/truck. The bikes are cradled gently, no touching the frame, and the rack can handle everything from big DH bike tires to skinnies.
but the name thelma is stupid.
