Sarah Palin just can't get out of her own way

She has a press conference today to bash the press…I love the irony…for going after her kids, and she used a month old People magazine article that called her daughter a “high school drop out” as her lead salvo.

I’m sorry Gov, but you’re the one who is perpetuating this nonsense because you’ve suddenly become irrelevant and yesterday’s news, and you don’t like it. You are the one using your kids to keep your name in the paper.

Please, go away…but come back in 2012 and try again, last time was so very entertaining!

cute people can get away with anything…awww…so cute!

“I’m sorry Gov, but you’re the one who is perpetuating this nonsense because you’ve suddenly become irrelevant and yesterday’s news”

Then let her go away. The left’s creepy obsession with her is scary. She has proven to be a loser. Stop talking about her and she goes away.

Either she’s preppin’ for 2012 or just refuses to go away.

“Stop talking about her and she goes away.”

Apparently,…she doesn’t.

This is funny. I thought her daughter, who is now 18 and an adult, sold photos to People magazine for $300,000 – and now Palin is complaining about media attention directed at her? Gimmie a break!

We were able to finally get over our Anna Nicole Smith obcession. Maybe, hopefully eventually, we’ll move past Palin.

I am highly skeptical about that because I think some folks WANT to talk about her all the time.

you would like her to try again?
god, i couldn’t stand to go through that again.

she is a jackass. although i think it a little odd you bring her up? what’s that about Matt, are you infatuated with Sarah Palin?

I’m one of those. I love talking about Palin, but I have managed to mostly not do it. Kind of like an addict staying away from the high. Of course, I’m someone who enjoys watching the really cheesy reality shows. That the Palin show and those reality shows are similar is why I think I can’t stay away. I just enjoy watching train wrecks. And they never seem to take responsibility for themselves. It’s always someone else’s fault. They are constantly victims of something or another.

I agree with Tibbs for once. I was very disappointed by Palin’s addition to the Republican ticket. However, I think the Left’s obsession with her is weird. The NYT was still running hit pieces and op-eds against her weeks after the election.

Let’s face what’s behind it all: the wealthy Left in this country absolutely despises lower middle-class white people. Paula Jones and Sarah Palin get trashed relentlessly, but Kathleen Willey (with the high cheekbones and good breeding) and Caroline Kennedy are spared.

It’s hard to admit when you pose as defenders of the working class. But that’s reality.

Just wait for 2012. She thinks she is the anointed one.

But Palin has been calling radio/t.v stations/newspapers for interviews so she is initiating the media coverage.

If she’s so irrelevant, then what’s the point of your post?

damn girl, you are on FIRE! i love it. you are so right!

Are you aware that Jens is a guy? Not just any guy, but one of the fastest cyclists on ST.

Clearly, kittycat is not aware of this. I am guessing that she confused jens (man, super fast cyclist) with jenhs (woman, motivational expert, budding ultra runner).

But ST persona confusion notwithstanding, I think jens has a good point (and so does kittycat) regardless of his gender.

I don’t agree. I don’t have a “fascination” with Sarah Palin. It’s more accurately described as abhorrence at the very idea that someone of her limited abilities and extended ambition would even be considered for higher office. I expect more from those candidates.

I’d be perfectly happy if she disappeared from the national stage. As long as she injects herself into the public awareness, I (and others) will continue to point out her failings.

Thanks Ken. I’m no longer fast, except at posting vituperative stuff on ST.

I want to throw a really crazy idea out there. It’s not ideological (I think the right has done it with Hillary Clinton too), but I think it’s worth pondering…

I seriously wonder if there isn’t something hard-coded into primate behavior about outgroup (particularly low-status) women. One of the things Jane Goodall observed was that chimps would viciously attack outgroup females that wandered into their territory. In fact these were some of the most brutal attacks she ever observed. They were far more vicious than attacks on any other category, even outgroup males.

Now look at humans. Many of the most notorious serial murders have been on outgroup or low status (prostitute) women. Just something to think about…

in what parallel universe would Sarah Palin be considered lower middle class?
