So I neglected to get accomodations ahead of time, I think this is a common there with me. I will be in SB the 26th -28th for the SB Sprint. Anyone have any cute daughters in college that I can stay with? HA if not, know of any reasonably priced accomodations? Only one I could find was Quality Inn for AAA rate of 189 per night! yikes…any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I’ve stayed at the Encina Lodge a numbe rof times when getting checkups at Sansum Clinic. Its not on the water but its a real ncie quiet place close to downtown and not far from the water. I think the price is chaper than $189.

I was unable to find accom. two weeks ago, but we have friends in Solvang, so we’re staying there. Check Ventura hotels. It’s 1/2 hour away, but alot cheaper than SB I think.
You might want to see if there is anything available in Carpenteria or Goleta, they’re a lot closer than the other options mentioned so far.
Last year, I booked my room in S.B. before I checked out! Also, sometimes people will back out at the last minute and cancel their rooms the day before the race- it might be worthwhile calling around when you get there.
