Broke out the CX bike and there was enough sand in my DA shifters (yes I crashed a few times in the sand pit) to cause them to feel sandy or gravely and bind the shifters some… any suggestions as to how to get that stuff out of there?
Lots and lots (and maybe even lots) of spray lube in to every nook and cranny of the shifter. We were trying to clean out a shifter on my friend’s CX bike this weekend and you would be amazed how much nasty gook was flowing out of the bottom of the shift mech area.
