San Marco Azoto Triathgel as Road Saddle?

Thanks to too much triathlon and shortish femurs, I tend to rid my road bike pretty steep (probably 75+ deg, often on the nose of the saddle under power).

Could one of the Selle San Marco tri-specific saddles work for me on a road bike, or is it too specifically designed for a pure aero position? I don’t want to make (yet another…) expensive saddle mistake.

Cheers,

Hmmm. Interesting quandry. My initial recommendation would be to try a Fizik Arione because it is longer (30 cm vs. 27 cm.) and it rides well on the nose.

The Azoto is a fine saddle but it is designed to be primarily ridden on the nose so it is not super versatile. It is what it is.

I am beginning to suspect the Arione has a high degree of versatility.

Just my .02 cents. Happy Holiday!

I installed one on a new TT bike last Christmas and liked it so much that a few months ago i installed one on my road bike and i love it
.

Try the Aspide tri saddle for your road bike. I use th azoto for my tri bike and use the apside tri for my road bike since also ride the nose sometimes. The aspide seems to be wider in the rear which supports my rear better when I sit up and climb.
