Looks like I might be moving to San Jose and I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good tri-shop and a masters swim team. I’m psyched to move to the bay area and am hoping I can find a good swim team right in town.

Welcome to San Jose. I am a member of Silicon Valley Tri club. There is a whole bunch of stuff happening over here in terms of tri training. SVTC (Silicon valley tri club) has a lot of resources and training opportunities.
If you are going to be close to Santa Clara, we have the International Swim Center (http://www.santaclaraswimclub.org/) where I swim in the mornings.
This is a great place to train and for races. A lot of local races.

The San Jose area is a great place for training. As for tri shops, I’d recommend Front of the Pack in Palo Alto, which isn’t too far away from SJ. The owner (Darrell who posts here on ST occasionally) did an awesome job fitting me on my tri bike earlier this year and definitely knows what he is doing. Stanford has a great masters team as well and the facility is amazing.
