Fellow STers I am moving to SF from Chicago on July 6th. I am going to be out there this weekend to find a place to live. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. I am going to be in town Friday thru Sunday and was wondering if there are any good group rides Saturday. I won’t have my bike, so does anyone know where I can rent a decent road bike for a day.

One of the bike rental places has road bikes, I think. Blazing Saddles? Do a search on here as I think someone has posted about it before. I don’t remember details though.

We always have great rides, check out our schedule at www.sftriclub.org. Looks like 5 scheduled on Saturday! The only place I know for a fact that rents road bikes is www.pacbikes.com.

Group rides typically leave at 8:00 or 8:30AM from the south parking lot of the Golden Gate Bridge. GGTC ride may leave a little later. But, just show up at the bridge parking lot and you will find shortage of riders leaving for a ride.
