San diego pools?

We are going to be in central san diego area and I wanted to know if there is a pool that is open for lap swim or masters drop in swims.

I searched old threads and found the pool in carlsbad but that is a bit north of where i will be.

Any info would help.

Thanks!!!

YMCA.org has pool info, mission valley has 6 lanes
.

There are a couple of pools I would recommend: Both of them have Masters swims. They are both $7/swim during open swim hours. The Plunge @ Mission Beach Masters swims are Monday & Wed @ 6:30pm & Tues. & Thurs. @ 6am. Parking is tough @ The Plunge after 12 pm because there are hords of tourists here right now.

Coggan is located at La Jolla High School.

Good luck.

also, in the UTC/La Jolla area, the JCC (just north of La Jolla Village Dr. on Genesee) has masters at 6, noon, and 6pm (the 6pm just started so it isn’t on the webpage). Very good. $10

Rambo,

You folks should check out http://www.swimmersguide.com/query/Main1.cfm. It tells you where any pools are in the world, maps, phone numbers, rates, pool types, etc. etc. etc. I use it when I travel and have found 3 pools I use regularly.

Good luck.

I’ve been to Poway and it’s a great pool- open air. Very nice. 5 dollars for admission and clean. http://www.swimmersguide.com/query/Detail.cfm?PoolID=6291

You might want to do a forum search for the ‘pee in the pool’ thread. I think there are a ton of people peeing in pools out there.
