Has anyone been in lately? Was thinking of going this weekend for the first time this year. Will I freeze my b**** off or be just fine with a swim cap and full suit?
Swam there last Saturday. First OW swim in a while so I was anxious about the water temp. The Lifeguard posted it at 57 degrees but it was not bad at all. I had a fullsuit and a neoprene cap but honestly I would of been fine with a regular swim cap.

You can get water temperatures for Orange County/San Diego beaches at the website below. They don’t specifically have the Cove, but they have some nearby beaches:

The San Diego lifeguards update this number daily with the dive conditions: water/air temp, water visibility, wave heights, tides, etc. I always call to check before I go for an OW swim.

I did the swim this morning and it was beautiful! The water was clear and the waves were mild. Had a full suit on and a regular cap. I was out there with a few of my Team In Training people and enjoyed the day!
