I bet she surprises a few people by doing very well (top 10) but I think Natascha is going to make Kona her bitch this year.
McGlone is the real deal. On paper you would have to put her on the short list of race favourites. Problem is, to my knowledge she has yet to do a full IM and obviously this will be her first time at IMH. The distance and the event are notoriously ruthless for the first timers. However, a few have broken through with impressive performances at their first go. I am just proud that we have another great Canadian woman triathlete as a real serious contender!
It’s big womens pro-field for her to deliberately dunk each of her rivals during the swim… but maybe she’ll pull it off.
