Sam Long, Paralympic Champ Chris Hammer Among Pros Racing Final Edition of IRONMAN Arizona

To cap the women’s race off, Curridori pulled away from Alberts in the last mile for #3 and KQ.
Dailey and Zilinkas in #1 and #2.
Six women within 20 mins of the winner compared to 7 men within 20.

Happy to see Rachel qualify, she’s had a shit year with injuries.

So Sam Long and Ben Kanute got Kona slots ? Mission accomplished

Just general reply to the thread. In M60-64 Jason George pulled off a 9:29. That converts to a 7:4x in age graded . Congrats to @albertboyce on a second place the weekend after being on the podium in Marbella, losing his bike and doing the race on a last moment road bike (hopefully he got a TT bike). Both guys got their Kona slots

Edit: it was a 7:50 age graded

21st in 35-39. Wonder how this changes how he chooses to market his company. It’s interesting because it’s started to pop up on my twitter feed amongst the runner crowd, but I haven’t seen ads for his products anywhere. I must be clicking on too many rugby, dog, and politics things haha.

I doubt it will change anything. It seems his target audience is mainly body builders, hybrid athletes, and bro’s. I know of a few runners that use his stuff but they seem to be the minority. If he wants to get more into the endurance space, I think he needs to get away from body building. But I don’t see him doing that.

I mean, I’m a hybrid athlete and I’ve steered so far away from his stuff and his content, it was interesting at the start when it was a side hustle. But the he submitted his board file and was selected for captain…literally taking a slot from someone else and refradding shortly after getting promoted.

Impressive what he’s built but I’m not a follower. But that’s a decent time so respect.

ETA: Also, shout out to Dede Griesbauer who continues to race as a professional instead of dropping her license to chase amateur kona slots.

Well,it is a hell of a lot cheaper and much easier to get into races that way and you get the preferential treatment at races..Pretty smart really.

Guy who won first overall amateur male uses Athletica AI and self coaches?

Third overall amateur is coached by Trevor Foley though.

I’ve used his G1M sports drink quite a bit but I’m starting to move away from it mainly because it’s quite low in carbs (20g per scoop) but strong in flavour. Basically 2 scoops and the flavour is overwhelming so making up a bottle high in carbs is difficult using it.

Simone Dailey (Edit: was Mitchell) has called it a day, is off to Hyroz and will not take her KQ,
Edit: I wrongly assumed RvB was coaching her: maybe he is.
Alberts will get that KQ, so her battle with Curridori, resolved in that last mile may have left her off the podium but she has the early KQ which was likely her primary goal.

who?

again, who?

I think you have those names backwards. Mitchell was her married name and has reverted to her maiden name, Dailey, post divorce. Simone is currently dating RVB.

So you didn’t read either links that I posted? It’s not like I’m talking about an inside joke, with how the software works you can even read the name in the three sentence preview. The second link was to Luke Evans (M25-29) results. He went 8:19:11. That placed him 18th overall. There was a starting field of 48 Men’s Professionals.

Hey guys look at these legal supplements I sell that got me these results. You can deadlift 600lb , run 2:39 marathon, 10:06 IM

I searched the names in the IM app - first one was a mediocre 35-39 age grouper, second one looks like he should be the classical US “pro” - racing mid to back of pack.

Sometimes this website makes it hella tough to know what you’re replying to…Nick Bare multiple threads on here.

Some with over 100 posts in them. He sells supplements.

Bare isn’t the person who was laying down the professional time, that was Evans which I obviously linked.

Right, thanks for the links. I find characters like him quite repulsive. But that’s me
