I’'m about to head off to LP for EpicMan. I am pretty much undertrained for this (at least by my standards), and defintely not where I thought I would be or wanted to be. But the event sounds like just too much fun, and I might not have this opportunity again for a while.
So, in light of this disclosure, I would like to dedicate my effort tomorrow to St. Khai, the patron saint of the woefully underprepared, over optimistic, and borderline pathetic, descending into the depths of weekend warrior status, athletes.
Pray for me St. Khai.

(who is about to find out if he tough enough to be dumb)
if St Khai ever submitted his request to join the TriBuddha Multisport Society he would go to the front of the line, no questions asked. However, I suspect he we are too far below his station in the tri universe to contemplate joining us!
Well I am in training depending on how one defines training. If riding my bike constitutes training in in it self then yes I am training, but if training is defined as having a plan and following said plan with an end goal in mind I might no qualify!
In any case the TriBuddha Multisport Society does actually exisit, there are currently 4 members. The criteria for membership is not about training or not training but it is totally about eating, a lot at a buffet, and this ability is to be demonstrated on a number of occasions- we dont want flash in the pan types. No vegetarians or vegans, or people with “food issues”, going on a diet and talking about being too fat or heavy is automatic suspension. Also one needs to be able to eat lots of fried chicken and curries! Oh and a general disdain of tri heads who take themselves too seriously is a given.
