This will make them a nice bit of money.
Looks pretty good, I wonder how it would fair though if you put it under a little pressure, say 3 or 4 feet under water?

My guess, not well.

I have heard that the GPS and wireless HRM do not work UNDER water, regardless of how waterproof the 405 is (I have the 405CX). I am curious though if anyone has any experience using the 405 or 405CX on a swim, either using GPS or using the waterproof Garmin HRM.
But the timer does. And you wouldnt have to put it onin t2 with cold fingers. Thats a problem here in minnesota in early and late season races.
that video is nuts, the part where he goes between the trees and hits the balloon is crazy!
i hate to be a wet blanket, but a quick look at the company’s FAQ’s shows this…
What is the wrong way to use my Liquipelled device?
Taking your device swimming or needlessly exposing it to water.
My device has been Liquipelled; can I take it swimming or surfing?
NO! Just because your device has been further protected does not mean it can be used in this way. It is similar to buying a case for your device and asking to throw it at the ground. It is just common sense to try and take care of your device. If you want to do this you need a specialty bulky case. Liquipel is a preventative coating to help protect from accidental water exposure.
Bummer…
Would help me feel a little better about putting my iPhone in my jersey pocket when I bike though…

This. I have been using the zip-lock bag method, but that makes it hard to actually use. This would be great to protect the phone from my sweaty face when I need to answer a call.
i was reading about them and couple of other companies at CES with similar technology. Supposidly just about all cell phones should start coming with that product already on them. They didn’t give a time frame for that to happen though
I have a waterproof case for my iphone. It’s from Japan and I bought it out of curiousity and I’ve only used it on an old ipod touch. It says it’s good for up to 10 feet and I was able to use to touch screen underwater.
Even though it didn’t leak, I’m afraid to actually use it on my phone just in case it turns out to be crap.
