i’m buying one of em tonight…which should I get…any pro/cons?
I have a flatwing… Got because I run an arione tri and scoot back alot when climbing. Its been good to me.
The carbon wing looks to be pretty versatile (holds 3 bottles plus kit). Keau
Be sure to check that your seat will accept either. The flat wing can be tricky to install depending on your seat post and seat design. The saddle wing sits higher in the back than the flat wing. I have not heard if it will fit the Cervelos due to the seat post design.

I’d go flat wing if I were you, less to throw your leg over and not as upright. Bottles launch less from the Flatwing from the experience I’ve had using both.

Not only that, but the saddle wing is pretty heavy compared to the flatwing to the tune of about another 130g. I really second the sitting lower reducing a launch. Similar to the hydrotail.
I agree with the recommendations for the flatwing. I’ve got a saddlewing and sometimes it can be a real pain trying to throw my leg over the added height of the bottles (especially after a 6 hour ride).
I have the flatwing and have it positioned as low as a hydrotail would be positioned. From what the “experts” say, this results in better aerodynamics. I have no idea, but it doesn’t rub my back and it doesn’t do me any other harm to have it in that position, so I go with it. Have fun with the purchase.
i’m buying one of em tonight…
Why?
Either or it’s a component which is taken off my bike for races…
One bottle mount, one aero bottle and aid stations are all I need.
