After a long cycling weekend (for me), I have a new friend - mr. saddlesore. I tried icing it last night - a delicate and generally uncomfortable experience - with minimal results. Any advice from fellow victims, doctors, etc?
Thanks!

Couple of suggestions…
Try taking a very hot bath and popping it. I would apply some an antiseptic/antibiotic if you are successful.
Try applying ‘Triple Paste’ cream. It is used for diaper rash and can be purchased at pharmacies. Most times you have to ask for it. Works like a charm for my kids’ diaper rash. I have applied it in the past at the first signs of of a saddle sore and it has worked wonders.
In the future, make sure you are wearing clean shorts and use a chamois cream like Assos. That stuffis worth the coin.
Make sure you are clean and dry. Sleep without underwear.

Check out post #19 specifically, follow the rabbit hole.
Try different shorts and or different saddle position. Too high of a saddle will tend to cause such chafing.
