Saddle height?

Hi All

What is the rule of thumb on saddle height, going from your standard road set up to TT/ tri?

I can’t find it anywhere?

thanx

One rule of thumb is that the distance between your pedal axle at the bottom of its stroke should be 109% of your inside leg measurement.

Slowman wrote an article on saddle height for tri/road bikes.

You want a knee angle of 145-155 range. Find the sweet spot that works best for you. Measure with a gangiometer or take a digital photo, print and measure with a protractor. Just be sure the camera is centered properly.

If your hips are rolling you saddle is too high!

Don’t forget the importance of saddle position relative to buttom bracket. This can affect power and aerodynamics(indirectly).

My typo. Make that a ganiometer.

The other method is the Lemond formula. Inseam x .883. described here:

"The word you are searching for is “goniometer”. "

What I really need is a basic keyboarding course.
