S2 vs. S3....any aero differences?

You better not taper my S5 head tube if it adds even 1 gram of aero drag!

Also we don’t know if the S2 fork would be as fast as the current S5 fork anyway

We have a lot of fictitious testing to do

Jack-
You have to think bigger…lets say you have 2 forks and 3 models…your lightest and most aero fork should go on your lightest and most aero bike…i.e. a new S5.

S2 - current S2 fork
S3 - current S2 fork (why keep making a more expensive fork that isn’t any more aero or any lighter)
S5 - current S2 fork with high modulus carbon to make it lighter.

In this fictitious world where I control Cervelo’s models I would hope the ‘new’ S5 would have the tapered head tube and rear triangle of the S3 with a tighter area behind the fork crown to smooth out the air behind the fork, higher modulus carbon for weight, fun bulkheads where appropriate to cut further down on weight while keeping the stiffness the same as the current S3.

The only problem here is differentiating between the S2 and S3…maybe put the S5 fork on the S3 frame and call it good?

Just throwing out ideas here…any more and Damon’s fictitious consulting bill is going to get rather large. All this despite the fact that typing a few words on a computer is significantly easier than actually implementing it.
