Tri just started for those interested…
dude, thanks. I’m watching it now.
he didn’t start a race, because he wasn’t feelin’ the vibe?
qzzawhat?
man, Joanna Zeiger is a machine. She’s not much to look at at all, but she flys.
“he didn’t start a race, because he wasn’t feelin’ the vibe?”
Saw that too. Kind of strange…
Really great race so far, don’t see any marshalls for the lead men though. I imagine the Beast will sort that out for them…
Very exciting race, and how about Craig ALexander carrying his kid across for the finish photo??? I guess it just isn’t an AG thing. Carfrae was amazing on the run, she actually out ran Bently, who they were saying was burning up the road the whole time. Much better coverage than the Ironmans they have been showing lately…
Derogatory comments about a person’s looks are unkind, immature, uncivilized, inappropriate, and unwelcome.
Great, it was scheduled to air a couple of weeks ago. Even our tv guide showed it but all I got was a pool tourney. The schedule showed something to be aired today but didn’t say which one. Just set up the recorder and hoped it wasn’t the World Paper, Rock, Scissors Championships (actually I heard those guys make some serious $$).

I guess he wasn’t feelin’ the vibe for the rest of his career either!
Thank you. That got me on my bike this afternoon.

Where does St Croix rate in difficulty among the 70.3s? I know that Beast hill on the course looked very intimidating.
Which 70.3 would be the best for a first timer?
Scott
That hill is a tough one, but the entire course is pretty rolling before and after from all I’ve heard. I suppose for your first race, it depends on your fitness(how fast do you go shorter distances), and after that, I would pick a nice location to have a good time after the race, like ST. Croix. If you are willing to travel, then you can do a search here on threads that talked about the best half ironmans. Lots of feedback on that topic…
Thanks for the reply and I will definately do a search.
The “beast” isn’t all that bad. I think too many people walk it just b/c they’re intimidated. It’s nothing you can’t make it up with just a little more than average bike fitness and the right cassette. BTW, I was in the opening of the show climbing the beast. All of a mere 2-3 seconds from behind.
