I started running without insoles in all my running shoes a few months ago (Newton Distance S, Altra One2, and Brooks Pureflows). I was having trouble with too much tightness around the arch and top of the foot and a Newton rep said to try it. Feels pretty good, makes my shoes feel almost like a race flat. I am assuming I am not loosing much in the way of support since the factory insoles are just a cheap/thin piece of foam anyway. Curious to if anyone else is doing this?
