Running water bottle - recommendations?

any recommendations on a good water bottle for running (hand held / carrier type)?

The one i use (Nathan quick draw) isnt that great, water gets warm from the heat from my hand. To be used in training (1-2 hour runs) and races (10k, 1/2 mary’s, marys) . Needs to have a pocket for keys and a gel. I have used the Fuel Belt but I think its easier to run with the hand water bottle.

thanks

I’ve used the hand bottle, camelback, and fuel belt, and my favorite is the waist belt with a 20 oz water bottle. Stayed reasonably cold and didn’t bouce much. Plus it’s easy to fill up on the fly during a race. I don’t remember the model.

When I did ultras I used a camelback waist belt, primarily because it held more water which I needed for 4+ hr training runs. One small bottle wouldn’t cut it.

have the Fb hybrid ultra runner, 22-oz water bottle with 2-7 oz flasks up front. used it for my long run, there was some bouncing at the start of my run but went away when i drank some after 20mins, just used the bottle and not the flasks.

thats exactly what i was looking for! Looks like it insulates the bottle to keep the water cool and your hand from freezing.

I will pick some up at REI today looks like they sell them for around $12.

thanks!

2 thumbs up for these bottes (ultimate direction with hand holder). Turned out i had to get them online ($18). I look forward to racing with them at Silicon Valley 1/2 this weekend!

thanks again!

$18?!? Should be two for $18… I just got a belt from these guys, happened to notice they also had the hand-held:

thats what my dad used to say - I would get 2 or maybe 3 shirts/shoes/whatever for that price

looks like a good deal alright on gearx, i got mine on zombierunner.com (i needed other stuff and often shop there, bay area so shipping is cheap/free and its gets here fast), i will check gearx out in future though too !
